Accessibility Auditing Methodology & Standards

How we audit, what we test, and the standards we uphold for web accessibility.

Core Engine

Our automated auditing engine is built upon axe-core, the world's most popular accessibility testing engine. We supplement this with semantic DOM analysis to identify structural weaknesses that automated tools often miss.

Industry Standards

We test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and 2.1. Specifically, we focus on Level A and AA criteria, which are the globally recognized benchmarks for digital accessibility.

Guidelines Tested

Our scan evaluates your site against these primary WCAG 2.2 and 2.1 Success Criteria.

Automated Audit Disclaimer

While automated testing can catch many common accessibility issues, it cannot identify all barriers. A full compliance audit requires manual testing by accessibility specialists and user testing with people with disabilities. Our tool is designed to catch the "low hanging fruit" and critical blockers efficiently.
